Welcome to the week! We have four more weeks of school, and we have a few important dates of which to take note:
May 18 - All Library books are due
May 25 - No School: Memorial Day
May 28 - Field Day
June 5 - Half-Day, Last Day of School
These are our learning goals for the week:
Reading: We are in Week 2 of the Extreme Environments unit. The students are addressing the question: What does it take to survive in the wild? The small reading groups are working on finding text evidence to support questions and developing questions based on their reading. The students will be taking their last SRI test to determine their Lexile level this week.
Vocabulary Words: compete, affect, food chain
Spelling Words: Words that begin with a- or be-. This is our last week of Spelling words!
Writing: Continue working on the individual stories
Math: Finish with polygons and begin comparing measurements of volume and mass
Have a great week!
